Biography

John joined Precision’s Calgary office in January 2021. John started his practice at a Calgary Boutique and joined precision after incorporating his own company.  Prior to his foray into civil litigation, John enjoyed a successful career as an Artillery Officer in the Canadian Armed Forces.

John is an experienced public administrator and has expanded his practice into the Provincial Court of Alberta and many other administrative and quasi-judicial tribunals at all levels of government. John has appeared before the Provincial Court of Alberta in Alberta as well as Administrative and Quasi-Judicial Tribunals in Alberta and British Columbia. John also has experience with Military Summary Trials and various appeal boards related to Veterans and Veterans issues. John’s practice focuses on general litigation in Alberta with a healthy appetite for employment and labour disputes.

When John isn’t in the office, he can be found along the back roads of Alberta enjoying the mountains or on the Rugby pitch. John is currently the Vice President of the Millican-Ogden Community Association, Treasurer of the Calgary Hornets Rugby Football and Athletics Club, and a volunteer Remotely Piloted Aircraft System (UAV) pilot with the Open Aerial Imagery Association. Recently he has been appointed to the “Friends of the HMCS Calgary Committee” by Calgary City Council, In the winter he can be found pondering why his Calgary Flames just can’t hockey before the all-star break (Jokes on them, the season starts after the break this year) and occasionally chasing granite down a narrow ice chute with a broom.
