What are your Rates?

We believe that using a paralegal firm should be cost-effective and significantly less expensive than using a traditional law firm. Our paralegals charge between $155.00 – $300.00 per hour as opposed to lawyers who can charge upwards of $500.00 per hour.

We also offer predictable, fixed rate billings to customers with accounts receivable matters or corporate clients with consistent similar matters. These flat rates are reduced based on volumes.

What is a Paralegal?

Paralegals are regulated by the Law Society of Ontario, the same as lawyers, and are required to follow the same professional code of conduct, operate in an ethical manner, and carry insurance.
Generally speaking it is more cost-effective to hire a paralegal. Further, paralegals have a limited scope of practice and are extremely active in Small Claims Court, Landlord Tenant Board matters, and Provincial Offences matters. They generally have a better understanding of the process and expectations in these courts and tribunals.

What is a Court Agent?

In Alberta, Paralegals are not regulated and instead they utilize Court Agents. Where possible our court agents follow the same professional code of conduct, operate in an ethical manner, and carry insurance.
